Sometimes Mr. Right’s a SHE

It seems that every woman is looking for the perfect man. The one and only Mr. Right. Does this Mr. Right really exist? I myself really do believe that he really does. But sometimes, he’s a she.

Please don’t give me the crap about God made Adam and Eve instead of Adam and Steve. I will choose not to go into details about what I think of Christianity. It takes up too much time and brain cells to actually make people understand how my brain works.

Back to Mr. Right… The perfect man would be loving, caring, sensitive, good looking, intelligent, diligent, independent, ambitious… and the list goes on. But as we all know, there’s no such thing as perfect. So why
can’t a tom be Mr. Right? (I've decided to use the term ‘tom’ as butches didn't seem to cover the right amount of people while ‘tom’ is more subtle and easier to identify with)

8 Key Points to All Self-Help Books

If you’re anything like me, you are a cynic when it comes to things like books on self-help, self-development, motivational talks and other mumbo jumbo. But when you hit an all new low with nowhere to turn to, you’d be surprised at what you’d try. And well I decided to read an inspirational self-help book that a friend recommended.

However now that I've spent 9 years overseas, I realized that there were alot of things that I should've been grateful for when I was studying. I've just recently started seeing Perth as a permanent home and I decided to make a list of things I feel international students should be grateful for.

Shit My Housemate Says Volume #1

Here is a list of actual conversations that happened between my housemates and I.

"I'm so broke, duct tape can't fix me."

While discussing what is the best sign to put up at the front door to avoid burglars, the result is:

The Simplest Diagram Explaining Depression and Anxiety

Depression and anxiety are two illnesses that are so common in today's generation but it has been so underrated and has such a negative stigma that causes it to spread even more. According to BeyondBlue, anxiety is the most common mental condition in Australia, an average of 1 in 4 people - 1 in 3 women and 1 in 5 men - will experience anxiety.

3 Reasons Why You Should Be Selfish

We live in a society where the negative is highlighted while the positive is either underrated or ignored. Coming from an Asian family (I hate to reinforce stereotypes but they are there cause there's always some truth in them) there's a lot of pressure to succeed academically when I was young. It was always "Aunty XX's daughter got a scholarship/straight A's/won a competition/plays the piano" and the list goes on and on...
